Hot Wheels NFT Series Lamborghini Feature Drop

 

November 2nd you will have a chance at purchasing a pack of 3? (not sure on quantity) of virtual collectibles for $25USD and collecting 1 example of all 19 cars, will get you a diecast version of the Lamborghini Veneno in Spectraflame paint and on Real Riders. The info is a bit vague, I would surmise they want you to investigate the HW's Discord for more help, however, I do not recommend going there as many inhabitants of that channel can be quite acidic and that includes at least 2 of the mods. If you so choose, do so at your own risk of losing sanity and hat size. I will be out on this one most likely and grab 2 oe 3 of the sELECTIONs Skylines instead when it comes out a couple of days before this feature drop happens.

Re-Visiting FedEx Destruction Or Face The Music Diecast Style

OK, when this came looking like this I said I would tackle it the next day and after looking inside I said f-it, time to do other stuff. Roughly 1/3rd of all Mattel Creations purchases and mail in cars, look like this upon delivery, with mail in cars also the target of thieves either on the sort line or delivery trucks. 93.7% of the time I suck it up and buy new protectors and move on. Recently FedEx delivered a package(Elite 64 Series Mustang) to my opened gate and placed it 9 feet from the street. My front porch is about 85 feet and a few inches from the road and a corner to the door to make matters even more hidden. So when said package was lifted from the yard, I contacted Mattel and was asked to confirm my address and a replacement would be sent. So I replied and the following I received a message that I had been refunded instead due to inventory...

I noticed a couple of days a go the Elite 64 Series Mustang was still up for sale... 

I will suck this up like a good consumer and when Mattel has protectors back in stock, I will order extras, like a dandy consumer, knowing I have 15+ cars that need them and more will likely be coming like this, in the future...

 The Volkswagen Caddy is most likely out of the MCM Minitruck Madness race as it is in a limbo with vague information...

This race is a scrap and I will now focus on next year...

On The Road To Red Rock Raceway!

 The Volkswagen Caddy is on the way and if all goes well, it arrives Tuesday and in time for the next rounds of qualifying! This is the last race of the year, I have already started on the GTR Truckin' Series for 2024 spec truck, the Baja Bouncer and with just wheels for racing it comes in at 56.5g. I might just add numbers and call it a day as I like the paint scheme! Now I sit back and track the box, keeping fingers crossed!

*Updated tracking shows the Volkswagen Caddy is due to land the day of the cut off or the day before, depending on how you read the rules. As long as Mother Nature, civil unrest or acts of Godzilla do not occur, I should be able to qualify!

Ready To Race...

The last race of the year is November 1'st and admin day is done and the truck is weighing in at 58.5g, far from pretty and running a plain Jane look until the printer gets replaced for next season.  The Volkswagen Caddy will be on it's way tomorrow to the MCM Minitruck Madness Tournament and as long as it arrives before Wednesday, I will be qualifying!

Hot Wheels x Daniel Arsham

Hot Wheels are an American toy designed in Southern California. Daniel Arsham is an American artist based in New York. His style tends to have a very eroded and monochrome look and feel. Hot Wheels and Daniel Arsham have teamed up for a collaboration that will drop on October 27th that includes, but not limited to, cars, display, decals(for your HW's cars) and patches for your whatever needs it, I will be doing a Hot Wheels "battle jacket" soon myself. 

 This will be a Mattel Creations drop and priced more than the average RLC sale, the general public and collectors alike will be able to make an attempt to get some rolling Hot Wheels art for their space of life.

The cars are Premium, with Real Riders and a Silkstone finish. The first 2 cars will be the Eroded Porsche 930 with Rally Case, priced at $200USD and the Eroded Rodger Dodger for $70USD. The Rally Case has an eroded concrete look to it and on the reverse is space to store each car in the series. 

All in all it is pretty nice, I cannot afford this so I doubt you will see me featuring an opening, however for all of the recent collaborations, this one I could display here. Link below to see all of the items launching October 27th at 9AM West Coast Hot Wheels time!

Candy Striper Crowd Fund - Not So Sweet

 I was skeptical on the outset of this endeavor and yet curious to see if the larger scaled cars would take off, a little bummed that I was out of the running due to other projects and inflation, so I was prepared to sit this one out. Now with only 1 day left, it seems many people are as well, possibly feeling the same way.  I don't know if the price is the reason, the Candy Striper motif or just bad timing, however it looks as if this will not get the push needed tot see the light of day.

 I really need a dedicated test track, coming soon... I have 3 or 4 sets of axles polished and ready to test, I will be setting up some orange tracks to get a better idea on this build. Next month I will get an Adventure Force Crash Racers track and some coroplast and make a decent test track. Less guessing and more knowing...

Today I have 2 cars, separate orders, coming from 2 different directions, both lost in the void and yet to even reach the distribution hub for my area... I hate FedEx...
