Hot Wheels NFT Series 3 - Numbers Of It All

 

Hot Wheels NFT Series 3 drops in a few days and there are only so many cars to go around, both digital and physical. Here are the numbers for the next series and it is a gamble for sure trying to score the Premium or NFThunt. Now a 3rd car is tossed into the mix, the Pagani Zonda R, it is digital only and very hard to come by. For completed sets, yet another physical car will be released and this digital rarity will be the key for many in order to score the completed sets physical release.

RLC Nissan Skyline GT-R NISMO - Safe At Home

I share the same physical address as a residence around the corner from me and I always get packages that belong to them, so i am used to taking them over to keep the delivery gods happy. Well today was my turn for mailbox sadness and I kept positive thoughts that these neighbors got the car. If the Postal worker feels the box is too big for the mail area, they will use the parcel box with the key put where your mail goes. Seeing no key it was one of 2 options, the neighbor with the same address got the car or the key for the parcel locker went into a random neighbors box. 

I walked outside to see if by chance it had been brought back and as I reached the top of my driveway, up drives my neighbor with my car, perfect timing that only the gods could arrange. 

The Skyline GT-R NISMO edition is sweet and I am glad my neighbors are good people!

To the wrong address... The dark side of collecting involves the mailbox as well as FedEx and today I came up short x2 with the Post Office, paid for a car somebody else got. I hope they enjoy it!

RLC Score - Sold Out

 

The Chevy fans have spoken and this 1990 Chevy 454 SS has in fact sold out, I scored one and my shadow buyer grabbed one as a back up for future trades. Some of the problems from the past seem to be showing up each sale, the sale did not start until 9:04 when the Sold Out issues were fixed. Then it really Sold Out!

Hot Wheels In The Wild - Family Dollar Edition

Family Dollar store score yesterday, no Treasure Hunt, no $uper TH, however the pink version of the Mighty K is just as good. I hope Ryu got to see one of these before he passed away, as a fan of the Kei in real life, I own 3, 2 Daihatsu Hijet's and 1 Mitsubishi Minicab van. One of the best castings Hot Wheels has ever made. Missing Ryu Asada today, thank you sir for this awesome casting!

Per the usual mayhem associated with a car in demand like this I knew the website would be fragile and the wait painful, yet like the typical addict, I did it anyways. 2 close friends did not score, for them it was a case of the dark side of collecting. My experience today was one of anticipated chaos mixed with a moment of joy. Now I swear how they ship this beautiful specimen of diecast savagery...

Found these dome holiday displays at Dollar Tree the other day while looking for cars they don't have. $1.25 each and they have a hole in the base for you to put a LED into so that it glows. Ample battery area underneath. Perfect for Hot Wheels or similar sized diecast cars.

Taller than need be, dust will not collect on the car and that is a smile factor of +10 with high fives all around. Score some and shake your head yes...
