The gamble of buying a case... What is in it for you? Lucky find is a Treasure Hunt and of course the almighty Super T-Hunt, then the castings that get snagged first off the pegs at your local fishing pond. When ordering a case from a retailer, you worry about re-packs, scalpers on the inside and the delivery... Stressful times as a collector, the sleepless nights, agitated days, just waiting for a damn tracking number...

Then the box shows up, looking like a forlorn artifact from a possibly deserted warehouse or abandoned freight train... I digress... The moment is solemn, opening 1 side and then another. The top is void of the car you seek and after just seconds looking in the bottom half, you see the distinctive rear end and that finish. It is beautiful... 

Slowly extricating the car you see the chromed wheels, Real Riders... Then that logo... TH...

'68 Splittin Image

This Splittin Image is now the oldest car in my collection and the 2 cars that are in that category are both of the same casting. 

Not perfect, but in decent shape, it will look great next to its sibling and on display and it is the only Hot Wheels car I have ever scored off of a YouTuber and they don't do Hot Wheels!

 This 350Z has been waiting on new shoes for a while and I put some wheels on order with my favorite supplier, MMR, as soon as they get here I can see if they will work... Should they work out, that will excite me into stripping the old enamel off, fixing the rear pillars and filing 4 holes. Then some ground effects and paint!
