UPS has handed off my package and according to the Post Office, I should see this tomorrow if all goes according to plan. Fingers are crossed that this will fit properly, with all of the weights in place...

The #13 Black Garage Pro/Am Team Gets Smoked!

             

   

   The numbers speak for themselves, however the Pro car was an under performer, being outshined by the Am car in each race. As long as it was on it's wheels of course. As a rookie, I am learning race by race, my next entry the Volkswagen Caddy for the MCM Mini Truck Madness Tournament is already near the race weight limit by 8g. The bed cover might be good for 1g, so a chance I can find more bulk. This mod car will be taken apart, re-assembled and as soon as I get a test track up, I can get a better idea of what I am doing right VS wrong. Weight and axles! I was more bummed out on the last race, the Lancer Evo and LBWK 35GT-RR were both built around the same time and I should have gutted the Nissan for more weight. Will I be looking for another 8g? Yes, I will try to nail the 60g limit.

Barbie The Movie Hot Wheels 1956 Corvette - In Yellow

If you saw Barbie The Movie you will most likely know the significance behind the yellow dress in the movie and if you scored a Barbie The Movie Hot Wheels Corvette 4-Pack, you might know the significance with the yellow 1965 Corvette. Then again, you might not...

It is all in the details and possibly more than a few skimmed over one aspect of the set and reading into the description of the set itself, these cars might be coming out on cards. Except the yellow one.

When I read that in the product details for the Corvette 4-Pack, it became apparent these cars could be available over time on cards and I really wanted the set for this reason, however I am recovering from bills the past few months and have not been able to take advantage of some of the sales lately, Barbie The Movie Corvette 4-Pack being one. So I have been watching the eBay listings and got one for a reasonable price for a premium. I would like the 4-Pack at some time and when the carded cars come around, I will be watching for them!

RLC 1969 Dodge Charger R/T

September 26th the 1969 Dodge Charger R/T will be going on sale for $25USD and you are limited to 2 per membership. Finished in Spectraflame yellow and meant to replicate the "Lemon Twist Yellow" that was a real life factory color. Real Riders with 5 spoke Mag wheels allow it to roll, should you remove yours from the blister on the card.

 This is not the first time I put actual car weights(pinewood derby) in a Hot Wheels somewhere and was scratching my head on the nice fit. Do they know what we are up to?

 Max weight allowance in the Mini Truck Madness Tournament is 60g and I will be around 8g short if all 5 weights currently on hand can fit in the build. Weight distribution will be near perfect and the axles are getting polished and then glued down...

 I have 2 cars entered in this event, one is stock, the other got mods... I got all available fingers crossed on this race the Summer Rally Series was a disaster, hoping better results here at the Pro/Am on Obsidian Mountain! Tomorrow at 5PM West Coast Hot Wheels time, Groups 1-4 will be on the Mountain!

Double DNF! - The Summer Rally Series Ends For The #93 Lancer Evo!

 

Not the race I wanted! However my car was there and the picture says it all. I was up against a fast car, congratulations to Dusty Miles of Milestone Racing! His car was about 20 grams heavier, which given the room I had in the Evo, I just didn't handle that properly and the axles did not get the attention needed. As soon as the Evo gets back, I will do testing and mod the car as it should have been done and post the results...

Fingers crossed my 2 entries do better at the Aloha Invitational Pro/Am!

Graphics For The Mini Truck Madness Tournament

These are the decals I hope to be running in the Mini Truck Madness Tournament in November on the VW Caddy. 

 

Rules?

I have been working on the VW Caddy for the upcoming Mini Truck Madness Tournament in October and today was graphics day and then I realized the bed cover I want to use, has a wing built in and per the rules; 

• No pieced together trucks, beds can be filled but nothing extending above that. Wheel Wells can be ground larger.

Hoping to get clarification soon, so that one of the 2 covers available can be ordered in time for the race...
