Like many RLC members I did not score the Gumball 3000 Aventador this morning, however last night while going for a near midnight cupcake run I found this on the peg at my local Walgreen's. If you are not hunting at midnight, you are not scoring!

Since the Hot Wheels id became Android friendly I have had it on my phone and have been playing the game and advancing with the free Boneshaker and 2 unlocked cars, the Tesla S and Howlin' Heat, actually I have yet to "drive" the Tesla, so it has 0 on the odometer. While I have enjoyed the game, the scan button was never lit up and I was not able to scan any of the cars I have purchased. Until now...
About mid-day I kicked it in front of a fan and turned the game on and to my surprise the scan button was there and I grabbed my '70 Dodge Charger R/T, scanned it and what a beast it is, a scanned car requires no "boost" action in game play, they are simply monsters compared to the stock Boneshaker or any unlocked car for that matter. I like seeing the miles racked up and now I look forward to getting the track and running a couple of cars for the miles of it. The graphics are cool and until we get FPV on HW's, this is about as close as we can get for the time being. Scanning your car and then racing it in a game is pretty damn cool...

Sam Walton's '79 Ford F-150

Recently Brad over at Orange Track Diecast posted about this Hot Wheels Walmart ultra-exclusive release of Sam Walton's 1979 Ford F-150, complete with Real Riders, setting off a small stampede and causing a small stir in the collectors world. It seems Walmart had been selling these in their Museum online store, yes, Walmart has a museum! When I seen the post on OTD, I went to the store and bought 5 and their inventory showed around 6k in stock and about 2 hours later(if that) the truck was pulled and inventory moved to another location for in store sales only at around $3.
When I got my package it immediately noticed the distinct lack of boxing and after removing from the bubble wrap envelope I realized they would be tweaked somehow. Of the 5, 3 are ok and the other 2 have bent like hell cards, bubbles all seem good however.
Between id releases, EBay found collectibles, RLC offerings and premium hard to finds, my bank account has taken a huge hit this month. The room looks good though...

Hot Wheels id Are Go - Android And Hot Wheels Collectors

Hot Wheels have begun releasing cars online and now the id app is available for Android fans. Pictured is the 5 pack of cars that are different from the Apple releases to date and are each marked Limited Run Collectible. Hot Wheels is also offering the Portal and a 3 pack of the Apple releases(Aston Martin, Corvette and Mercedes), check the store online for further details. At this time the 5 pack is marked out of stock, the Portal backordered and the 3 pack in stock.
Of note, the 3 pack set are all marked on the box as Limited Run Collectible, cars appear no different and who knows if cars shipped will actually be labelled as such.

Did FedEx Lose My Gasser?

Whenever I see something coming to me via FedEx I cringe, sweat and cross fingers until the package arrives. At times they will simply dump items at my gate which is less than 10 feet from the street and about 100 feet from my front door. Today my RLC '41Willy's Gasser was scheduled for delivery and now has been updated to no scheduled delivery date...
