Thrash Session...

 So during the button up phase so that I could weigh the car for the entry form, I discovered interference issues that prevent the car from being screwed together... I looked at both interiors and the problem is not very obvious and it took a moment to work on the area that is the issue. As it sits, I cannot use the axle support I made and no further adjustments can be done at this point.

 The new body has been tapped and currently drying with a second coat of paint, numbers will be next and then a shot of clear. The driver and interior will be in later, axles in place and ready to button up. It must be shipped on Saturday in order to meet the deadline...

In Metal...

 Quick pic of the roof/wing combo printed in metal and I am so impressed with how it looks and fits. If I wasn't racing with it, I would not be gluing it down. It is just snug enough to fit and looks so nice in metal! It will add 11.3 grams in weight to the car and while that will be on the roof, it is spread out a little. Proper pics coming soon...

The "lady" on the phone straight up lied to me and to make matters worse and point to the obvious problem at the root of the situation, she could not pronounce Rialto and had to spell it for me. That explains a lot...

Bone Shaker Saturday

With a few Bone Shakers drilled I took the opportunity to mod one with beadlocks and a roof. The roof will need a bit of finishing and some flat black paint, then I will do the interior and headlights/skull. Wheels and spacers by MMR.

C Car Gets An Upgrade...

 

I like this and soon I will do a 100% original design with a new wing, without winglets and a smooth top roof. I am still pretty f-in happy though...

This little part has passed through production at Shapeways in a metal finish and should be here in about a week. A friend in New Mexico printed some test pieces and his help was 110% required to meet this deadline. I am freakin' stoked!
